Time Out magazine called Simon Boswell “one of the UK's finest living soundtrack composers.”

He has scored films by some of independent cinema’s incredible mavericks such as Danny Boyle’s ‘Shallow Grave’, Alejandro Jodorowsky’s ‘Santa Sangre’, Dario Argento’s ‘Phenomena’, Michael Hoffman’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, Alex de la Iglesias’s ‘Perdita Durango’, Clive Barker’s ‘Lord Of Illusion’, Richard Stanley’s ‘Hardware’ and ‘Dust Devil’ and Iain Softley’s ‘Hackers’ the acting film debut for one Angelina Jolie.

In the mid 1980s Simon Boswell was working as a record producer in the UK and Italy when director-producer Dario Argento recruited him to work alongside Claudio Simonetti and Goblin on the soundtrack of Giallo horror and supernatural fantasy Phenomena, starring a young Jennifer Connelly.

Boswell produced 23 Skidoo ‘Coup’ famously evolved into by The Chemical Brothers hit Block Rockin’ Beats.

In 1994 for Philips Cdi and with Chris Whitten he scored Burn:Cycle the first ever video game soundtrack to feature orchestral music.
