BBC Sound Effects - over 16,000 samples

The BBC have released to the public over 16,000 effects, found sounds, field recordings and samples galore from their fantastic and extensive music library. The archive features effects that have been used on BBC radio output since the 1920s. The sounds range from volcanic eruption and lava flows to scuba divers breathing under water to Bellbirds on farm land - recorded at Kurrajong Heights in the Blue Mountains region, Australia (some cars and chain-saw audible in background) and everything in between. You'll also find 192 seconds of General Purpose Crackle !
